🥐 I Taught All My Friends How to Make the Fastest Puff Pastry Appetizer!

Golden, flaky, cheesy, and irresistible—these puff pastry twists are a game-changing appetizer that’s both quick and impressive. Made with just a few ingredients, they’re perfect for last-minute gatherings, brunches, or as a delicious snack. Everyone I’ve taught how to make these has immediately added them to their recipe book!

🧀 Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets (400 g each) of puff pastry, thawed if frozen
  • 3 to 4 teaspoons of mustard (Dijon, yellow, or honey mustard – your choice)
  • 150 g hard mozzarella cheese, grated or thinly sliced
  • Optional add-ins:
    • Thin slices of ham, pepperoni, or salami
    • Chopped herbs (parsley, thyme, oregano)
    • Egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
    • Sesame seeds or coarse salt for topping

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll Out the Puff Pastry

  • Lightly flour your surface and roll out each pastry sheet just a bit to smooth out any folds.
  • Spread 1.5 to 2 teaspoons of mustard evenly across one of the pastry sheets.
