Limescale shower faucet, how to clean it so it’s like new againl

  1. Apply Vinegar

For removable parts:

  1. Unscrew and remove any detachable faucet parts (e.g., aerator or handles).
  2. Soak them in a bowl of white vinegar for 1–2 hours.

For non-removable parts:

  1. Fill a plastic bag with white vinegar.
  2. Secure the bag around the faucet using a rubber band.
  3. Let it soak for 1–2 hours.
  1. Scrub the Limescale

Remove the faucet from the vinegar or take off the bag. Use a toothbrush or small scrub brush to scrub off softened limescale. For stubborn spots, make a paste of baking soda and water, then scrub gently.

  1. Rinse and Dry

Rinse the faucet thoroughly with warm water to remove any vinegar or baking soda residue. Dry the surface with a soft, clean cloth to prevent water spots.

  1. Polish for Shine

Use a microfiber cloth and a drop of mild dish soap to polish the faucet. For extra shine, apply a small amount of baby oil or stainless steel polish, and buff with a microfiber cloth.

  1. Prevent Future Buildup

Dry the faucet after each use to minimize water spots and limescale. Clean weekly with a mild vinegar solution to prevent buildup. With consistent care, your faucet can look like new and stay sparkling longer.
