To unclog your showerhead holes and increase water pressure, follow these steps:
- Basic Cleaning
Remove debris: Check for visible mineral deposits or dirt in the nozzles and try to wipe them off with a cloth or your fingers. Massage rubber nozzles: If your showerhead has rubber nozzles, gently press and massage them to dislodge buildup.
- Deep Cleaning with Vinegar
Remove the showerhead (optional): Unscrew the showerhead for easier access. If you can’t remove it, the cleaning can be done in place. Soak in vinegar: Fill a bowl or plastic bag with white vinegar. Submerge the showerhead in the vinegar or secure the bag around it using a rubber band. Let it soak for 1-2 hours or overnight for stubborn clogs. Rinse and scrub: After soaking, rinse the showerhead thoroughly with water. Use a toothbrush or small brush to scrub the nozzles to remove loosened debris.
