- Create a Makeshift Hook
• Straighten a paperclip, then bend one end into a small hook.
• Insert the hook into the lock and attempt to snag the broken key.
• Slowly pull the fragment out while maintaining a steady hand. - Use Super Glue (as a Last Resort)
• Apply a tiny amount of super glue to the broken key’s exposed end.
• Quickly press a sturdy object (like the remaining piece of the key) against the glue and hold it in place until it sets.
• Carefully pull out the broken key once the glue has bonded.
Important Notes:
• Avoid forcing tools into the lock, as this may damage it further.
• If the above methods don’t work, contact a locksmith to prevent permanent damage.
• Regularly lubricate locks to reduce wear and tear that can lead to key breakage.
