Growing garlic in water is one of the simplest ways to propagate it and doesn’t require much care. It’s an excellent way to enjoy garlic greens (the leaves) for culinary use or even to prepare garlic bulbs for planting in soil later.
Steps to Grow Garlic in Water
What You Need:
A few garlic cloves (preferably organic, as they sprout more easily) A small glass or jar Water
Instructions:
- Select Healthy Garlic Cloves:
- Choose large, firm cloves from a healthy garlic bulb.
- Do not remove the papery skin.
- Prepare the Container:
- Fill a small glass or jar with about an inch of water.
- Ensure the garlic clove base (the flat side, where roots grow) will sit in the water while the pointed end faces up.
